A Valentine's Day card idea... or something. I was trying to paint a flamingo, but it doesn't look like one much so I decided it's a lovebird instead. ^^ A bird that brings love and happiness to people, especially on Valentine's Day (tho it looks kind of depressed in my painting... ^^; ).
Done during a computer-painting class at school, where we were supposed to be making (surprise surprise!) Valentine's Day cards. Painted completely from scratch. The colours might look a bit flat or dark, because the screens at school are calibrated a bit oddly.

This is really pretty, and the name is just fantastic :). I like the colors and the way you used the brush. The middle part of the background could perhaps be less blurry, and the upper part of the eye should curve a bit differently, if you wanted it to look less depressed. Perhaps the bird is so busy worrying about other people's happiness that it has forgot to be happy itself?

Hey, nice theme for Valentine's card! :D Not any boring pigeons, but flamingo! *reps* And it LOOKS like flamingo. Yeah, this is awesome. You really know how to draw birds, too. Background is well-chosen also. Amazing work with the legs and feathers. Happy Valentine for you too!^^

The depression glows through its sad eyes. Not that I'd blame him/her, poor bird. Also, the background pink has such matching shades of grey twirling in it, too. Tainted, that's what love has become.

Sorry for not having much constructive observations to offer.

of course it's sad! It's a lovebird, when it has to leave his/her mate at home on Valentines to do his/ehr duty, of course it will be sad, thinking of the one sitting all alone at home! :heart:
